Homeopathy's Approach to Wellness & Why I Use it in My Practice

There is a lot of misunderstanding about what homeopathy truly is. It is not home remedies, herbal remedies, or the same as naturopathy.

Homeopathy's approach to wellness revolves around the principle of stimulating the body's inherent ability to heal itself. It operates on the belief that symptoms are not just indicators of illness but are expressions of the body's effort to restore balance.

Homeopathy is a 200-year-old medical practice that heals from the inside out by addressing the root cause of problems. When our bodies are out of balance, we experience symptoms. Homeopathy targets the underlying cause of this imbalance.

Central to homeopathy is the use of highly diluted substances that, in their crude form, produce symptoms similar to those experienced by the patient. These diluted remedies trigger the body's natural healing response without overwhelming it. The goal isn't just to alleviate symptoms but to address the underlying cause of the imbalance.

By gently stimulating the body's natural ability to heal itself, homeopathy supports and strengthens this innate capacity. It does not mask or suppress symptoms but uproots them, assisting the body's natural design to heal itself. In homeopathy, the focus is on treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.

Homeopathy also considers the individual as a whole, taking into account not just the physical symptoms but also the mental, emotional, and even spiritual aspects of a person. The suggested remedy or remedies is tailored to the unique symptom profile and constitution of the individual.

Additionally, homeopathy emphasizes preventive care and believes in supporting the body's natural defenses to prevent future illnesses. Lifestyle recommendations, dietary changes, and stress management techniques are often incorporated to enhance overall well-being and resilience.

Homeopathy vs Allopathy

Allopathy and homeopathy diverge in their approaches toward symptoms and the body's natural responses. Allopathy typically aims to suppress or manage symptoms perceived as negative manifestations of an ailment. In contrast, homeopathy perceives symptoms as a natural expression of the body's attempt to rebalance itself and emphasizes understanding the principles that fortify the body's innate adaptive abilities.

Unlike allopathy, which often focuses on symptom control, homeopathy prioritizes the stimulation of the body's self-healing capabilities. Rather than targeting the disease directly, homeopathy aims to activate the body's inherent mechanisms for restoration. It acknowledges the existence of natural laws governing the body's self-healing processes, which evolved to safeguard and optimize survival.

Homeopathy aligns its practices with these natural laws, viewing it as the gentlest and most efficacious approach to attaining health.

Conversely, allopathy has noted that working against these natural laws might inadvertently yield outcomes contradictory to the intended goals. These are commonly referred to as side-effects; a description that is not found in Homeopathic healing approaches.

Understanding and cooperating with the body's natural healing mechanisms form the cornerstone of homeopathy's approach to promoting wellness.

Why I use Homeopathy in my practice

I spent years under allopathic care, only to end up with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Systemic Candida Infections. By the age of 26, my mind and body were nearly non-functional. My transition to holistic care marked the beginning of a healing journey on every level of my being. Along the way, I explored and studied a wide range of therapies, from essential oils to energy-based healing and everything in between.

It wasn’t until I discovered homeopathy that I truly understood the power of natural medicine. Homeopathy's remarkable ability to effect change on both the physical and emotional levels helped to uproot some of my long-term ailments that had remained unhealed by other modalities. As a life coach, I realized that integrating these gentle little healers into my practice was a game changer. It provided an invaluable boost to what I was already achieving in my coaching, enabling my clients to progress further and faster along their healing journeys. Incorporating homeopathy into my practice is a decision I have never regretted.
