Anxiety is a mental health disorder that affects millions of people worldwide. It is characterized by excessive worrying, fear, and nervousness that can impact a person's daily life. Anxiety can range from mild to severe, and it can be accompanied by physical symptoms such as sweating, rapid heartbeat, and difficulty breathing. In this blog, we will explore what anxiety is, its causes, symptoms, and treatment options.

At Vibrant Life 24/7 I love to work with clients who are struggling with anxiety.  I know that sounds odd, but I do.  I do because I can clearly see the hope in the methods I use to help my clients.  Not only do I see hope, but I’ve seen these methods work time and time again.

What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is a mental health disorder that causes people to feel excessive worry or fear about situations that are not usually dangerous or stressful. While it is normal to feel anxious from time to time, anxiety disorders involve persistent and excessive worrying that interferes with daily activities.

Types of Anxiety Disorders

There are different types of anxiety disorders, including:

  1. Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD): This type of anxiety is characterized by excessive worry about everyday things, such as work, school, health, and relationships.

  2. Panic Disorder: This type of anxiety involves unexpected and recurrent panic attacks that are often accompanied by physical symptoms such as sweating, rapid heartbeat, and difficulty breathing.

  3. Social Anxiety Disorder: This type of anxiety involves intense fear of social situations, such as public speaking, meeting new people, or being in crowds.

  4. Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD): This type of anxiety involves unwanted and intrusive thoughts or obsessions that lead to compulsive behaviors, such as excessive cleaning or checking.

  5. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): This type of anxiety develops after a traumatic event, such as a natural disaster, war, or assault.

Causes of Anxiety

The causes of anxiety disorders are complex and multifaceted. Several factors can contribute to the development of anxiety disorders, including:

  1. Genetics: There is evidence that anxiety disorders run in families, indicating a genetic predisposition.

  2. Brain Chemistry: Neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine are involved in anxiety disorders.

  3. Environmental Factors: Traumatic life events, chronic stress, and substance abuse can all contribute to the development of anxiety disorders. As well as not being fully aligned with your values.

Symptoms of Anxiety

The symptoms of anxiety disorders can vary from person to person, but some common symptoms include:

  1. Excessive worry or fear about everyday situations.

  2. Physical symptoms such as sweating, rapid heartbeat, and difficulty breathing.

  3. Avoiding social situations or activities due to fear.

  4. Compulsive behaviors such as excessive cleaning or checking.

  5. Difficulty concentrating or sleeping.

How I help with Anxiety at Vibrant Life 24/7:

During our sessions, we will take a look at what is causing your anxiety, through three different lenses - coaching, healing & homeopathy.  Our initial session will be focused on your timeline.  We will take a deep dive into your history, not only looking at any events that caused the anxiety, but also what predated the anxiety and what your body was telling you about your predisposition to respond in this way.  The body never lies and when we learn to listen, we can heal more quickly and more completely. Once I’ve done a proper assessment of your timeline, you’ll receive a custom remedy or remedies that will begin working on any obstacles to cure and help to settle your nervous system.  While the remedies are working in the background, we will get busy learning tools to address your anxiety and we will quickly turn things around.  Yes, we can do so quickly. My methods provide an environment where you are completely supported: body, mind, energy and spirit.
